CHRISTMAS CHAOS

                                                                                                                        DECEMBER 26, 2014

Happy Holidays to all! Oh my goodness, Christmas day was just to terrible for me. I had a massive migraine so I couldn't do anything with my family. This migraine lasted for about 32 hours. The pain, the vomiting, the potty going, the body convulsions, oh and I did I mention the PAIN!!! If I could have I would have driven myself to the ER.
My Christmas dinner was a bust because I didn't get to finish preparing it. I had the turkey, the mac and cheese, the cornbread, and the yams but had much more to do. I needed to fry some chicken, make the sweet potato pies, the cake, some rice, green beans and corn, dinner rolls and the stuffing. I am in the midst of making the rest of the food now but I will do the desserts tonight.
Right now I need to shower, dress, and get out of this house for some air. I also need to go see my mommy; unfortunately she is in the hospital. She has been there for over almost two weeks. She is in the ICU so it's hard to get to see her being that I have small children. You have to be 16 and older to get in to visit. My husband can't always accompany me because he has work. Nevertheless, our love and prayers are always with her. I'm hoping we both have a better 2015, without pain. Wishing everyone a blessed and prosperous New Year to come!

God bless!

Pain day

It's not even Monday and my head has the blues! Kicking off this weekend with a migraine! It's quite chilly outside today, not liking that at all. Getting ready to take my son to football practice so I am looking for some Autumn  attire to keep warm. Have a blessed weekend everyone!!!

God bless!

Almost....

Just when I thought I may be getting rid of these pesky migraines, reality kicks in. I had about 3 migraines within the last 5 days. I noticed the days that I woke up to rainy, stormy weather I had migraines. Of course the usual cycle week migraines are still in play, can't seem to shake those!

TUESDAY BLUESDAY

YESTERDAY I WOKE UP WITH A BANGIN HEADACHE THAT QUICKLY EXCELLED. IT WENT FROM 60 TO 10,000 WITHIN 30 MINUTES. I MANAGED TO MAKE MY FAMILY BREAKFAST BEFORE I BECAME COMPLETELY DISABLED. IT WASN'T AN EASY TASK BUT IT HAD TO BE DONE. WHEN YOU HAVE 6 KIDS NOT COOKING IS KIND OF INEVITABLE! THE PAIN DIDN'T BEGIN TO EASE UNTIL ABOUT 10PM. TODAY WAS A BETTER DAY. I WOKE UP PAIN FREE AND READY FOR MY ESPRESSO. THANK YOU JESUS FOR THIS MIGRAINE FREE DAY!

APRIL 6, 2014 MIGRAINE SUNDAY

SUNDAY MORNING, AROUND 7 A.M. I WAS AWAKENED BY MIGRAINE PAIN. I DID REALLY GOOD MOST OF THAT WEEK WITH KEEPING THEM AT BAY. I DRANK PLENTY OF WATER, STAYED AWAY FROM THE SALT, AND TRIED TO GET A LITTLE EXTRA REST.  I ATE LOTS OF CANTALOUPE AND STRAWBERRIES. CHANGED MY BREAKFAST MENU A LITTLE AS WELL. I THINK I KNOW WHERE I WENT WRONG. WHILE MY HUSBAND AND I WERE OUT AT AN EVENT I ATE A SMALL PORTION OF ZITI. I SHOULD HAVE JUST GRABBED THE SALAD AND LEFT WELL ENOUGH ALONE. I USE MRS. DASH TO COOK AT HOME BUT WHILE YOU EAT OUT YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT SPICES THEY USE IN THEIR KITCHEN. I AM GOING TO TRY TO MONITOR WHAT I HAVE WHILE I AM HOME AND WHILE I AM OUT TO SEE IF ANYTHING CHANGES. THIS MORNING I STARTED MY DAY WITH A GLASS OF WATER AND SOME CHOBANI YOGURT. I WILL BE HAVING MY CUP OF ESPRESSO SHORTLY.

The Cycle Migraine

Tuesday I had a 24hr agonizing migraine. It started about 3 a.m. I woke up in mega pain and running to the bathroom. Relief didn't even start until Wednesday afternoon. My cycle had started Wednesday morning so that explained the massive head trauma on Tuesday. I can't wait til God takes this pain away.

WEDNESDAY'S WOES

                                              Wednesday  February 12, 2014  12:52 PM

I woke up this morning in Migraine hell! I felt like a mannequin was using a jack hammer inside my head. The throbbing pain went on and on like miles of sand on the beach. Gasping for relief, desperate for any glimpse of the pain wanting to quit anytime soon. In the midst of agony there's still things to be done. I wish I could just lay in a dark, quiet room and wait for this migraine storm to pass. Unfortunately I have children to feed, wash, and dress. A hot shower and a cup of coffee and lots of prayer to get the strength to get my daughter ready for school on time. The whole process of a migraine is very draining and stressful on the body.

Last night I tried to prepare my body before going to bed. I did about 25 minutes of cardio and drank lots of water. I'm trying to do all I can to deter these migraines from coming. All I can say is: God help me! It's been a long 16 year battle with these migraine attacks and they have only gotten more aggressive over the years. Medicines are not helping, they don't seem to work for me. I will continue to pray for my healing and wait on the Lord.
